Fraser asked me a couple of months back to share some lessons that life has taught me. Of the seven I shared (http://disruptivethoughts.com/..., I purposely highlighted this as number one: â€œLife is shortâ€¦ sometimes much too short." I could have done without a reminder so soon.

I feel like Jodie Foster's character in the movie "Contact" when she says "they should have sent a poet." All the words at my disposal feel woefully inadequate to describe who Gary was, and how deeply he touched those around him.

Although my memories are brighter from having known him these past 12 months, my world is noticeably darker now that his light has been extinguished.
